I have been fixing a range of interesting Industrial Machines during the last few weeks. From a Carpet Whipper to a Juncker Industrial Sewing Machine what are they you may well ask ..........
A Carpet Whipper
If you have ever seen the edge of a carpet piece with what appears to be closley stitched wollen edge this would have most likley been stitched by a heavy duty carpet edge (whipper) overlocker. Karpet King is the most popular and robust of this style of machine although an old Singer 81K Carpet Whipper can still do a good job.
A Juncker
is a machine used for out sole stitching, most of them are normaly lockstitch. Sole stitching comes in many forms and this one is a very odd beast as it is chain stitch and is used for stitching leather soles to the uppers.
It is realy great to have the chance to work on all these interesting Industrial machines, as my specialist field is Leather and Heavy Duty Machines as I started in this industry as a closing mechanic with C & J Clarkes at there head office in street, in the west country
I have since been involved in servicing and repairing a whole range of both domestic and industrial machines. Plus I can now also add to my list, Long Arm computerised Quilting Machines that are used for the Patchwork and Quilting Creators to finish off there amazing quilts. The versions I specialise in are where the head moves in an x y axis to a pre programmed pattern produced by a computer so the quilt is secured to rollers Check out APQS or Gammill.
